Lisa Gade reviews the Google Nexus 4 Android smartphone running Jelly Bean 4.2. The Nexus 4 is made by LG and it's sold as an unlocked GSM phone with pentaband 3G HSPA+, so it will work anywhere in the world GSM service is available and you'll get HSPA+ on AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. This is a 1.5GHz quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro phone with 2 gigs of RAM and 8 or 16 gigs of storage. The phone has a 4.7", 1280 x 768 IPS Gorilla Glass 2 display. It has an 8MP rear camera, front 1.3MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. It's very affordably priced at 9 and 9 without contract.

The up and down kind of shot? Really? Heard of the photo sphere? XD also, for the benchmarks, a lot of ols benchmarks are not optimized for 4.2 so it doesnt work well. If you try the new antutu version, this phone just outshines almost every phone…

I am coming from a Samsung Galaxy S2. I have had yellow tint on my S2, so I don’t get yellow tint on Nexus 4, if theres yellow on Nexus 4 on the whites then Im not getting Nexus 4.

I wish you would say milli-amp hour battery… milli-amp isn’t a unit of storage quantity

cooler tones typically show whites… if you have been on an iPhone, you will notice most iPhones are much cooler and much more saturated. Reproduction is probably a bit more accurate saturation wise, but its going to be a bit yellow on a pure white page (this will only bother you if you are coming from a cooler temp phone)

I’m pretty sure specs are a huge deal these days. No one wants a phone with crappy visuals and slow games…

What I like its about the Nexus 4,Is that they are no skins on it. I like Pure Android.
The note 2 is feature pack, but I prefer the Build quality on Nexus 4 than the Note 2. And if you have seen the Nexus 4 has a bit lower specs, but specs are not a huge deal this days. Nexus usually devices don’t have lack,at final I think that the Note 2 is a Phablet,so they are some how different devices, for me both are great phones.Still I prefer the desing of Nexus 4.

Optimised mean fully compatible with 400 mali gpu of note 2. Both have quad core but cpu is still performing better on note 2 and gpu is better on nexus 4. You cannot not compare the cost of these two as note 2 has 1000 of things in it which nexus 4 doesnt have. Let say there are no motion sensors on nexus 4, no smart stay option, no spen, no pop up browser, no sd card and no html usb support. I like nexus 4 because of its price only not features and i m not trying to offend u here.

Not sure what you mean by “optimised for it cpu” as they both have quad core chips. I’d say the deal breaker for the Note 2 is its shitty skin and the fact that an unlocked version costs 649.99 base versus 299.99 for the Nexus 4.

I want to know whats better for whites? cause it’s mostly white backrounds so would it more whiter if it was colder or wamer?

It is more of an opinion thing… If you live near a best buy, look at the different phones/ tablets and decide that way by which one you prefer. Warmer tones are better for “redish” colors and a cooler tone is better for “bluer” tones… Hope that helps

too me the whites at the end was a proper white and you said the whites were cold…is it better when its warmer or cold?

Same here i disagree with u because i own both devices and i know note 2 is better. Note 2 has spen and almost every good game is optimised for it cpu is better on note 2 which offcourse support fast multitasking capabilities. However, gpu is better on nexus 4 which is not a big difference for me. There is no sd card and motion sensors on nexus 4 like note 2.

I disagree. The samsung skin and bloatware is a pain in the ass. This runs stock OS hot from google. People who think Note 2 is better havent tried this Nexus 4 yet

i think this phone is good specially when we consider its price tag but note 2 is still the best.

They take up less than a centimetre, and never get close enough to any keys etc to be bothersome, at least in my opinion. Plus they disappear when you’re looking at pictures and video.
